GEMMA HORRORS
With a decade of experience in the tattoo industry Gemma has truly cemented her place as one of the most highly recommended Black and Grey artists in the NorthEast. Obsessed with tattoos and tattooing since a teenager Gemma spent hours juggling a nursing degree, working long shifts at the hospital and building a portfolio in hopes of landing an apprenticeship, and at the age of 20 she finally did! Only a short time later, after excelling in the early stages of her career she co founded House of Horrors Tattoo Company in 2012, Darlingtons first fully custom studio and the town’s first female artist! Alongside heading both studios with Tara, and now into her 11th year of tattooing, Gemma takes on solely black and grey work, paying particular attention to realism, which she is often sought out for. Gemma's technical application and attention to detail makes her tattooing eyecatching, distinctive and timeless. With many years ahead of her Gemma hopes to continue developing her skills and is particularly interested in the Chicano Sub Culture of tattooing & continues to use it as inspiration within her custom designs & tattooing style!
