Our Story
Established in 2012 by Tara & Gemma Horrors, House Of Horrors Tattoo Company was not only the first female owned tattoo studio in Darlington, but is one of a small minority of female owned studios, in the industry to date.
Our mission was to create an open, comfortable space allowing our Artists to express themselves and develop their skills whilst continuing to produce the best possible tattoos. To eliminate egos and attitudes, promote high levels of professionalism, sophistication and great customer relations. Lastly and most importantly, to be fully inclusive regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability and other diverse backgrounds.
Staying focused on our mission gained the studio early success, the client base grew month to month and so did the reputation. This focus and determination created the momentum that has led us to where we are today and after 10 years of growth and success we have opened our second studio and sister company, EightySixx.
House Of Horrors Tattoo Co remains the largest Tattoo Studio in Darlington and combined with EightySixx is now one of the largest in the North East. Our goals are still as they’ve always been and the future of HOHTC will continue to head in the same direction.
